24 Hour Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 c grapes
  • 2 c pineapple chunked
  • 12 pint heavy cream whipped
  • 2 c mandarin oranges
  • 12 c walnuts chopped
  • 2 c small marshmallows

Directions

  1. Combine egg yolks sugar vinegar butter salt and 2 tablespoons of pineapple juice from the can of chunk pineapple in top of double boiler or regular pan
  2. Cook until thick stirring constantly
  3. Cool
  4. Fold this mixture into whipped cream and mix carefully with well drained fruit nuts and marshmallows Refrigerate 24 hours before serving
