5 Hour Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb beef stew meat cut in 1 12-inch cubes
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 c chopped celery
  • 1 c chopped onion
  • 4 large carrots sliced
  • 4 potatoes cubed
  • 3 Tbsp tapioca
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 12 c dry red wine

Directions

  1. Mix meat and vegetables in 5-quart casserole
  2. Sprinkle with tapioca and seasoning
  3. Add wine and 34 cup water
  4. Stir well Cover tightly and bake in 250 oven for 5 hours
