60 Minute Parker House Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 cakes Fleischmanns yeast
  • 14 c lukewarm water
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 12 c milk
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 c flour

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water put milk butter sugar and salt in a saucepan and bring to a scald do not boil letting butter melt
  2. Stir
  3. Put milk mixture in a large bowl add yeast mixture and stir together
  4. Sift in the 5 cups of flour gradually until dough is formed
  5. Cover and place in warm place to rise Let rise 15 minutes
  6. Knead dough down and roll out on a floured surface to cut into rolls
  7. Place rolls on a greased pan touching each other
  8. Cover with wax paper and let rise about 15 minutes Bake in 450 to 475 oven for about 12 minutes
