Alabama Camp Stew
Ingredients
- 2 lb pork cooked
- 1 lb chicken cooked
- 1 lb roast beef cooked
- 1 12 lb potatoes
- 12 lb white onions
- 2 12 c tomatoes
- 1 12 c catsup
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- salt to taste
- Tabasco to taste
- dash of red pepper
- dash of black pepper
- 14 lb creamed corn
Directions
- Boil all meat together in enough water to cover meats
- Cook until tender
- Remove bones and grind meat
- Cook potatoes tomatoes and onions in meat broth until potatoes crumble to touch Stir well while cooking
- When vegetables are done add ground meat and stir well over low heat
- Add all remaining ingredients except corn and butter
- Mix well and season to taste
- Let simmer for about 1 hour stirring frequently
- Add corn and simmer stirring constantly for about 15 minutes
- Serve with crackers
