Almond Crescent CookiesA Christmastime Favorite

Ingredients
- 1 23 c sifted flour
- 14 tsp salt
- 1 c butter
- 13 c sugar
- 23 c blanched ground almonds
- 12 tsp almond extract
- 1 c confectioners sugar
Directions
- Cream butter
- Add sugar beat well
- Add almonds and extract Mix in flour and salt
- Chill dough for 2 hours
- Roll into pencil-thin strips 2 12 inches long
- Place 1 inch apart on baking sheets
- Curl into crescents
- Bake at 325 for 15 to 20 minutes
- Cool on pan
- Roll in confectioners sugar
