Alpine Goulash With Buttered Noodles

Ingredients

  • 2 12 lb boneless round steak cut into 1 12-inch cubes
  • 2 Tbsp beef drippings or shortening
  • 3 c coarsely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 1 12 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp caraway seed
  • 1 tsp dill seed
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 pt sour cream
  • cooked noodles

Directions

  1. Brown meat well on all sides in hot drippings or shortening Turn cubes to brown equally
  2. Add balance of ingredients cover and cook slowly until beef cubes are tender about 2 12 hours
