Angel Cornbread
Ingredients
- 12 c corn meal yellow or white
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 c flour
- 1 12 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp baking soda
- 12 c oil
- 2 c buttermilk
- 2 eggs well beaten
Directions
- Mix dry ingredients together well excluding yeast
- Dissolve yeast in 14 cup warm water
- Mix together well the dissolved yeast oil and buttermilk with the dry ingredients
- Pour batter into a well-greased cornbread stick or muffin pans and bake at 450 for 12 to 15 minutes
- Makes 3 dozen
- Serve hot or cold
