Angel Food Pie
Ingredients
- 1 c water
- 1 c sugar
- 3 Tbsp flour
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 c crushed pineapple
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 beaten egg whites
Directions
- Put water sugar and pineapple in top of double boiler and bring just to boiling point
- Mix flour and cornstarch and add to pineapple mixture
- Cook until it thickens
- Remove from heat and add vanilla
- When cool fold in egg whites
- Pour into 2 baked pie shells
- Top with 12 pint whipped topping for each pie Sprinkle with coconut
- Let stand in refrigerator overnight
