Apple-Cherry Turnovers
Ingredients
- 4 tart apples
- 6 Tbsp butter
- 1 c sugar
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 Tbsp cinnamon
- 12 tsp nutmeg
- 1 40 oz can pitted sour red cherries drained
- 1 17 12 oz pkg puff pastry sheets
Directions
- Pare core and slice apples
- Add cherries
- Mix dry ingredients
- Cut puff pastry sheet into 4 squares
- Arrange apple-cherry mixture on pastry
- Sprinkle with dry ingredients top with dots of butter
- Fold pastry to form triangle
- Seal edges
- Bake at 425 for 20 to 25 minutes
- Serve with vanilla ice cream
