Apple-Cream Coffeecake

Ingredients
- 12 c chopped walnuts
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 12 c sugar
- 12 c butter
- 2 eggs unbeaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 c sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 c sour cream
- 1 medium apple
Directions
- Mix walnuts cinnamon and 12 cup sugar
- Set aside
- Heat oven to 375
- Beat butter until creamy gradually add 1 cup sugar beating until light and fluffy
- Add eggs one at a time then vanilla
- Sift flour with baking powder baking soda and salt
- Beat flour mixture into batter alternately with sour cream Spread half of batter in a well-greased 9-inch tube pan with removable bottom
- Top with pared cored and thinly sliced apples Sprinkel with half of walnut mixture
- Top with remaining batter then rest of walnut mixture
- Bake 40 minutes
- Cool in pan on a wire rack for 30 minutes
