Apple-Nut Coffee Cake

Ingredients
- 2 c flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 14 tsp salt
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c shortening
- 2 eggs
- 1 c sour cream
- 2 c finely chopped apples
- 12 c chopped nuts
- 12 c packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp butter melted
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan
- Set aside
- Stir together flour baking powder soda and salt
- Cream granulated sugar and shortening
- Beat in eggs and vanilla
- Add flour mixture and sour cream alternately to creamed mixture
- Fold in apples
- Spread batter in prepared pan Combine nuts brown sugar and cinnamon and stir in butter
- Sprinkle evenly over batter and bake in a 350 oven for 35 to 40 minutes
