Apple And Wilted Lettuce Salad

Ingredients

• 6 c romaine lettuce wash and tear
• 4 c leaf lettuce wash and tear
• 2 Golden Delicious apples
• 12 c sliced celery
• 6 slices bacon
• 13 c cider vinegar
• 14 c water
• 2 tsp sugar
• 14 c chopped scallions
• fresh ground pepper
• 1 6 oz Good Seasons Italian salad dressing mix

Directions

1. Core and thinly slice apples
2. Place lettuce apples and celery in bowl
3. Cook bacon until crisp drain and crumble Reserve drippings from bacon and add vinegar water sugar and dressing mix
4. Heat to boiling and pour over salad
5. Sprinkle with bacon scallions and pepper
6. Toss gently
7. Serve immediately
