Apple Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 qt cooked apple pulp
  • 4 c sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 14 tsp cloves

Directions

  1. Use apple pulp left from preparing apple juice for jelly Press through food mill
  2. Measure pulp
  3. Add sugar and spices cook until the flavors are blended well about 15 minutes
  4. To prevent sticking stir frequently as mixture thickens
  5. If too thick add a small amount of water for desired consistency Makes 5 pints
