Apple Butter
Ingredients
- 2 qt cooked apple pulp
- 4 c sugar
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 14 tsp cloves
Directions
- Use apple pulp left from preparing apple juice for jelly Press through food mill
- Measure pulp
- Add sugar and spices cook until the flavors are blended well about 15 minutes
- To prevent sticking stir frequently as mixture thickens
- If too thick add a small amount of water for desired consistency Makes 5 pints
