Apple Coffee Cake

Ingredients

• 34 c shortening
• 1 12 c sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 12 c flour
• 1 12 tsp baking powder
• 1 12 tsp vanilla
• 3 large apples sliced
• 12 c sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• nutmeats

Directions

1. Cream shortening and sugar
2. Add eggs flour baking powder and vanilla
3. Blend until smooth
4. Spread in an 11 x 13-inch pan Push thin apple slices into batter
5. Sprinkle top with mixture of sugar cinnamon and nuts
6. Bake at 325 for 40 minutes
