Apple Pie Cake

Ingredients

• 14 c shortening
• 1 c sugar
• 1 egg slightly beaten
• 1 c sifted flour
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp nutmeg
• 1 tsp baking soda in 2 Tbsp hot water
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 12 c chopped walnuts
• 2 12 c peeled diced apples

Directions

1. Cream together shortening and sugar add egg
2. Mix and add flour salt cinnamon and nutmeg
3. Mix thoroughly
4. Add vanilla Mix well
5. Add nuts and apples
