Apple Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 5 or 6 apples
- 5 tsp cinnamon
- 2 c sugar
- 4 eggs
- 12 c orange juice
- 1 c oil
- 3 c plain flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Cut 5 or 6 peeled apples into small pieces
- Sprinkle with 5 teaspoons cinnamon or to your taste and set aside
- In a large bowl mix ingredients except apples until smooth
- Pour 12 cake mixture into a 10-inch greased and floured tube pan add 12 apple mixture
- Add remaining cake mixture to pan and top with remaining apple mixture
- Bake at 350 for 1 12 hours
- Cake will be golden brown when done
- Remove from pan immediately and cool
- Best served cool or cold
