Apple Rings

Ingredients
- 2 medium sized apples
- 1 c water
- 2 c sugar
- 13 c red hot cinnamon candies
- few drops red food coloring
Directions
- Peel and core apples leaving them whole then slice into 12-inch slices
- Set aside
- Mix together the water sugar candies and food coloring in a saucepan
- Bring mixture to a boil Drop in apple rings Simmer until tender about 10 to 12 minutes Remove from syrup
- Serve as an accompaniment to any type wild meat
