Applesauce Cake

Ingredients

• 14 c shortening
• 1 c sugar
• 1 c applesauce
• 2 c flour
• 1 tsp soda
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 12 tsp cloves
• 1 tsp nutmeg
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 c raisins

Directions

1. Cream sugar and shortening add sifted dry ingredients alternately with applesauce
2. Add raisins
3. Bake in large bread pan at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes
4. Ice with butter frosting Quick easy and requires no eggs
