Applesauce Doughnuts

Ingredients

• 2 Tbsp butter
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp soda
• 4 to 5 c flour
• 12 tsp nutmeg
• 12 tsp cloves
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 c brown sugar
• 1 c applesauce
• 12 tsp salt
• 34 tsp cinnamon

Directions

1. Blend butter and sugar Add eggs
2. Mix applesauce and soda and add alternately with dry ingredients to creamed mixture Roll out and cut
3. Fry in deep fat 350 to 375
4. Drain
5. May coat with granulated sugar or powdered sugar
