Applesauce Nut Cookies

Ingredients

• 12 c shortening
• 12 c brown sugar packed
• 12 c granulated sugar
• 1 egg
• 12 c applesauce
• 14 c raisins
• 12 c chopped nuts
• 2 c sifted flour
• 14 tsp cinnamon
• 14 tsp salt
• 14 tsp soda
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

1. Cream shortening and sugars
2. Add egg and mix thoroughly Sift flour cinnamon salt soda and baking powder together
3. Add to creamed mixture blending well
4. Add applesauce nuts raisins and vanilla
5. Drop by teaspoon onto a cookie sheet about 1 12 inches apart
6. Bake in a hot oven 400 for about 10 minutes or until brown
