Apricot-Almond Upside Down Cake

Ingredients
- 1- 8 34 oz can unpeeled apricot halves
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 13 c packed brown sugar
- 14 c slivered almonds
- 1 pkg 1 layer size yellow cake mix
- 14 tsp ground nutmeg
- Frozen dessert topping for garnish
Directions
- Drain apricots reserving 2 tablespoons syrup
- Preheat oven to 350
- Place butter or margarine in a 9x1 12-inch round baking pan
- Melt butter in pan in oven while preheating
