Ingredients

  • 1- 8 34 oz can unpeeled apricot halves
  • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • 13 c packed brown sugar
  • 14 c slivered almonds
  • 1 pkg 1 layer size yellow cake mix
  • 14 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Frozen dessert topping for garnish

Directions

  1. Drain apricots reserving 2 tablespoons syrup
  2. Preheat oven to 350
  3. Place butter or margarine in a 9x1 12-inch round baking pan
  4. Melt butter in pan in oven while preheating
  5. Remove pan
