Apricot Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 3 oz cream cheese softened
  • 13 c sugar
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp orange extract
  • 1 tsp grated orange rind
  • 1 c dried apricots
  • 1 c sugar
  • 2 Tbsp soft butter
  • 1 egg
  • 14 c water
  • 12 c orange juice
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 12 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 c chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Mix cream cheese 13 cup sugar 1 tablespoon flour and 1 egg with orange flavoring and rind and set aside
  2. Cover apricots in warm water and soak for 30 minutes
  3. Drain apricots and cut them in small pieces
  4. Cream sugar and butter
  5. Add egg
  6. Add water and juice
