Apricot CrescentsEach Ball Makes 1 Dozen Crescents
Ingredients
- 1 c margarine
- 2 c flour
- 12 c flaked coconut
- 14 c chopped pecans
- 1 egg yolk beaten
- 12 c sour cream
- sugar
- apricot preserves
Directions
- Cut margarine in flour until it resembles coarse meal
- Combine yolk and sour cream
- Stir into flour mixture
- Divide and shape dough into 4 balls
- Wrap each portion in waxed paper and chill for 4 hours
- Roll out one portion of dough on floured surface into a 10-inch circle
- Spread 2 tablespoons apricot preserves on circle and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons coconut and 1 tablespoon chopped pecans
- Cut circle into 12 wedges
- Roll up edges beginning with the wide end and place point side down on ungreased baking sheet Sprinkle lightly with granulated sugar
- Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned
