Asparagus Bites
Ingredients
- 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
- 3 oz Blue cheese crumbled
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 can asparagus spears drained
- 1 to 2 sticks butter
- Pepperidge Farm thin sliced bread
Directions
- Mix cream cheese with Blue cheese and egg until well blended Trim crusts from bread allowing one slice of bread per spear of asparagus
- Flatten bread with rolling pin
- Spread each slice with the cream cheese mixture
- Place an asparagus spear on each slice and roll up
- Cut each roll into thirds
- Dip in the melted butter
- May be frozen at this stage
- Bake at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown
- Bake 30 minutes or until browned if frozen
