Asparagus Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
  • 3 oz Blue cheese crumbled
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 can asparagus spears drained
  • 1 to 2 sticks butter
  • Pepperidge Farm thin sliced bread

Directions

  1. Mix cream cheese with Blue cheese and egg until well blended Trim crusts from bread allowing one slice of bread per spear of asparagus
  2. Flatten bread with rolling pin
  3. Spread each slice with the cream cheese mixture
  4. Place an asparagus spear on each slice and roll up
  5. Cut each roll into thirds
  6. Dip in the melted butter
  7. May be frozen at this stage
  8. Bake at 400 for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown
  9. Bake 30 minutes or until browned if frozen
