Asparagus Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh asparagus
- loaf of thin white bread sandwich
- 2 8 oz pkg cream cheese room temperature
- 1 lb bacon fried crisp and crumbled
- bunch of green onions
- 1 14 lb stick oleo or butter
- Parmesan cheese grated
Directions
- Steam and drain asparagus
- Trim crusts of bread and flatten with a rolling pin or water glass
- Mix cream cheese softened crumbled bacon and sliced green onions
- Spread mixture on each slice of bread and place an asparagus spear on bread with mixture Roll bread slice jelly roll style
- Dip in melted butter or oleo then roll in grated Parmesan cheese
- Spray cookie sheet with Pam Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes turn and bake until brown Cool a bit and slice in half or thirds
