Asparagus Spears With Garlic Mustard

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 24 asparagus spears trimmed
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 c 12 lb sliced 14-inch fresh mushrooms
  • 2 Tbsp country-style Dijon mustard
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • pinch of salt
  • 12 tsp minced fresh garlic

Directions

  1. In 10-inch skillet place asparagus spears add enough water to cover
  2. Bring to a full boil
  3. Cook over medium heat until asparagus is crisply tender 5 to 7 minutes
  4. Drain return to skillet
  5. Add remaining ingredients pushing asparagus to side just until butter is melted
  6. Cook over medium heat stirring occasionally until heated through 5 to 7 minutes
  7. Makes 4 servings
