Asphodel Bread

Ingredients

  • 5 c biscuit mix
  • 4 Tbsp sugar
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 2 c warm milk
  • 2 envelopes dry yeast
  • 4 eggs
  • 14 tsp cream of tartar

Directions

  1. Combine biscuit mix sugar and salt in a large bowl
  2. Add yeast which has been dissolved in warm milk
  3. Beat eggs with cream of tartar and add to the mixture
  4. Stir well cover and let rise until double in bulk
  5. Stir down pour into two greased loaf pans Cover let rise again until smooth
  6. Bake 40 minutes at 350
