Aunt DoraS Beef Stew
Ingredients
- 1 12 to 2 lb lean beef cubes
- 4 to 5 potatoes quartered
- 4 medium onions quartered or 6 to 7 small white onions
- 1 bunch fresh carrots cut up in pieces
- 1 pkg frozen peas separated
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 10 oz can tomato juice
- 4 to 5 tsp minute tapioca
- dash of lemon juice
- dash of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 to 3 bay leaves
- 3 to 4 whole cloves
- fresh ground pepper
- dash of salt optional
Directions
- Stagger all of the ingredients into a large covered casserole
- Cover and bake in a slow oven at 225 to 250 for about 6 to 7 hours test meat and vegetables for doneness
- Stir once after cooking 3 to 4 hours
- Makes 6 servings
