Aunt EvaS Old Fashion Peach Shortcake

Ingredients
- 2 c flour
- 23 c sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 14 c melted margarine
- 1 egg
- milk
- sliced sweetened peaches use fresh or frozen peaches
Directions
- Sift first 3 ingredients
- In a measuring cup put melted margarine and egg then finish filling to 1 cup with milk
- Add to flour mixture and beat well
- Put into greased and floured 9-inch cake pan
- Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes
- Cool
- Split in half and put peaches between and on top of shortcake
- Serve with ice cream or Cool Whip
- Makes a beautiful dish and it is delicious
