Aunt FannyS Baked Squash
Ingredients
- 3 lb yellow squash
- 12 c chopped onion
- 2 eggs
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 12 tsp black pepper
- 12 c cracker or bread crumbs
Directions
- Wash and cut up squash
- Boil until tender
- Drain thoroughly then mash
- Add all ingredients except 12 of the butter to squash
- Melt remaining butter
- Pour mixture into baking dish then spread melted butter over top and sprinkle with crumbs
- Bake in a 375 oven for approximately 1 hour or until brown on top
