Aunt LillianS Kraut Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 No 303 can kraut washed and drained
  • 1 c chopped bell pepper
  • 1 c chopped celery or 2 tsp celery seed
  • 12 c chopped onion
  • 1 small jar chopped pimentos
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 34 c vinegar

Directions

  1. Mix the first 5 ingredients together
  2. Bring sugar and vinegar to boil and pour over mixture of kraut and vegetables
  3. Chill several hours or overnight
  4. Will keep in refrigerator for 4 to 5 weeks
