Austrian Apple Torte
Ingredients
- 1 c walnuts chopped not fine
- 23 c flour
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 12 c sugar
- 3 tsp vanilla
- 2 c apples peeled cored and diced use 2 kinds of cooking apples to enhance differences in taste
Directions
- Beat eggs until thick
- Add sugar to eggs slowly 12 cup at a time
- Stir in vanilla
- Sift flour baking powder and salt together
- Stir in flour mixture 12 at a time
- Fold in apples Stir in walnuts
- Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan
- Bake at 350 for 35 minutes
