Austrian Barley Soup

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 12 c medium barley
- 1 c chopped celery
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 6 c chicken or beef consomme
- salt and pepper
- 12 c cream
- 12 c thinly sliced mushrooms
Directions
- Saute butter barley celery and onion for 4 minutes
- Add consomme and simmer 30 to 40 minutes
- Salt and pepper to taste
