Autumn Fruit Salad
Ingredients
- 1 12 c sugar
- 12 c flour
- 1 12 c water
- 1 tsp butter or margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 c cubed unpeeled apples
- 2 c halved red seedless grapes
- 1 c diced celery
- 1 c walnut halves
Directions
- In a saucepan combine sugar and flour
- Stir in water bring to a boil
- Cook and stir until mixture thickens
- Remove from heat stir in butter and vanilla
- Cool to room temperature
- In a large bowl combine apples grapes celery and walnuts
- Add the dressing and toss lightly
- Refrigerate until serving
- Yields 8 to 10 servings
