Bacon Hot Slaw

Ingredients
- 12 lb bacon
- 34 c vinegar
- 14 c water
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 6 c finely shredded cabbage
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Dice bacon and cook slowly until crisp
- Pour off half the drippings
- Add other ingredients to remaining drippings and heat for 3 minutes stirring constantly until cabbage is hot and well coated with sauce
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Cabbage should be crisp
- Drain off liquid before serving
- Serves 6
