Baked Alaska

Ingredients

• 1 white or yellow cake mix
• 12 gal block ice cream
• 5 large egg whites
• 34 c sugar
• 1 tsp flavoring of your choice optional

Directions

1. Make cake as directed on box
2. Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan Remove from pan let completely cool
3. Slice cake into 4 pieces Slice ice cream lengthwise about the thickness of the cake layers
4. On one layer place ice cream
5. Place another layer of cake on top
6. This will make two cakes
7. Wrap one freeze it for use later
8. Beat egg whites until very stiff
9. Add sugar and flavoring
10. Spread on one cake
11. Bake for 3 minutes or until brown
12. Have oven preheated to 500
