Baked Clams With Walnuts
Ingredients
- 16 clams on half shell
- 2 shallots minced
- 10 walnut halves
- 14 c parsley
- 3 Tbsp vermouth white wine or Pernod
- 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 14 c fresh fine bread crumbs
- Parmesan cheese freshly grated
Directions
- Chop and mash together the shallots walnut halves parsley and vermouth
- Knead in butter bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese Spoon topping on each clam
- Cover with freshly grated Parmesan best quality
- Make a bed of loosely crumpled aluminum foil on a pan
- Arrange clams on foil and bake loosely covered with a layer of aluminum foil in a 450 oven for 3 to 5 minutes
- When just barely done remove foil and brown close to the broiler
- Serves 4
