Baked Cream Cheese Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 1 4 oz can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 12 tsp minced fresh dill weed or 12 tsp dried whole dill weed
  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
  • 1 egg yolk beaten
  • fresh dill weed sprig for garnish

Directions

  1. Unroll dough on a lightly floured surface press seams together to form a 12 x 4-inch rectangle
  2. Sprinkle and gently press minced dill weed onto top of cream cheese
  3. Place cream cheese dill weed side down in center of dough
  4. Bring up sides of dough snugly around cheese pinching to seal
  5. Place seam side down on a lightly greased baking sheet
  6. Brush with egg yolk
  7. Bake at 350 for 20 to 22 minutes
  8. Garnish if desired
  9. Serve warm with crackers
  10. Yields 16 appetizer servings
