Baked Pineapple Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 1 lb 4 oz cans crushed pineapple drained well
  • 12 c flour
  • 1 scant c sugar If pineapple is in heavy syrup use 12 c sugar
  • 12 tsp salt
  • butter
  • 1 c grated cheddar cheese mixed with 1 c grated American cheese
  • slightly toasted pecan pieces see note

Directions

  1. Place 12 of drained pineapple in buttered 10x6 pyrex dish Mix flour sugar and salt sprinkle half of this over pineapple Dot with butter Spread 12 of mixed cheese over this Repeat in same order Bake at 325-350 for 30 minutes
  2. Remove and sprinkle with pecans Bake 5 more minutes
