Baked Stew

Ingredients

  • 2 lb lean stew
  • 2 c onions diced
  • 2 c potatoes quartered
  • 2 c carrots cut in chunks
  • 2 c celery cut large
  • 1 4 oz can mushrooms
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp pepper
  • 5 Tbsp tapioca
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 c V-8 juice

Directions

  1. Place in Dutch oven with tight fitting lid in the order listed
  2. Bake at 250 for 5 hours
  3. No browning necessary
  4. When done gravy is brown and thick
