BaklavaPita Dulci
Ingredients
- 2 lb phyllo
- 2 lb sweet butter clarified
- 2 lb walnuts chopped not ground
- 12 c sugar
- 12 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- Butter a 12 x 17 x 1-inch baking pan Butter 8 to 10 sheets of phyllo for bottom crust
- Sprinkle nuts combined with sugar and cinnamon
- Sprinkle nuts on every sheet or every two sheets Top with 8 sheets Refrigerate
- Cut into diamonds Bake at 350 for 60 minutes After 40 minutes lower oven to 325 for remaining 20 minutes
- Pour cooled syrup over hot Baklava
