Banana All-Bran Nut Bread
Ingredients
- 14 c shortening
- 12 c sugar
- 1 egg well beaten
- 1 c Kelloggs All-Bran
- 1 12 c flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp soda
- 12 c chopped nuts
- 1 12 c mashed banana
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
- Cream shortening and sugar well
- Add egg and All-Bran
- Sift flour with baking powder salt and soda
- Mix nuts with flour and add alternately with mashed bananas to which the water has been added
- Stir in vanilla
- Pour into a greased loaf tin 8 12 x 4 12-inch
- Let stand 30 minutes
- Bake in moderate oven 375 for 1 hour
- Let cool before cutting
