Banana Cake

Ingredients

• 1 34 c sugar
• 1 c shortening
• 3 eggs
• 3 c cake flour
• 12 c buttermilk
• 1 13 tsp soda
• 1 Tbsp hot water
• 12 tsp baking powder
• 1 12 c bananas mashed very fine

Directions

1. Cream sugar with shortening until creamy
2. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition
3. Sift cake flour before measuring then sift with baking powder 3 times
4. Dissolve soda in hot water and add to buttermilk then add alternately with flour mixture to creamed sugar and shortening
5. Mix in finely mashed bananas
6. Pour in greased floured pan and bake at 325 for 45 minutes
