Banana Cream Pie
Ingredients
- 1 cooked pie crust 10-inch
- 12 c sugar
- 5 Tbsp flour
- 14 tsp salt
- 2 c milk
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 12 tsp vanilla
- 3 ripe bananas
- 12 pt whipping cream
Directions
- Combine sugar flour and salt in a double boiler gradually add milk
- Cook over boiling water stirring constantly until thickened
- Cook for 10 additional minutes
- Beat egg yolks
- Add a little hot mixture to the eggs beating well
- Put remaining eggs in hot mixture beating vigorously cook 1 minute longer Remove from heat
- Add butter and vanilla
- Cool
- Slice bananas on top of cooked pie shell pour cooled mixture over bananas
- Top with whipping cream before serving
