Banana Cream Pie
Ingredients
- 9-inch graham cracker crust
- 23 c sugar
- 14 c cornstarch
- 12 tsp salt
- 3 c milk
- 4 egg yolks slightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp plus 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 large bananas
- whipped cream
Directions
- Mix sugar cornstarch and salt in saucepan
- Blend milk and egg yolks
- Gradually stir into sugar mixture
- Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils
- Boil and stir 1 minute
- Remove from heat and blend in butter and vanilla
- Place plastic wrap onto filling in saucepan and cool to room temperature
