Banana Cream Pie

Ingredients
- 9-inch pastry shell
- 13 c flour
- 12 c sugar
- 14 tsp salt optional
- 2 c milk divided
- 3 small egg yolks well beaten
- 1 tsp firm butter
- 12 tsp vanilla
- 2 large ripe bananas
- 10x sugar for sprinkling
Directions
- Bake and cool pastry shell
- Blend flour sugar and salt in a heavy saucepan
- Over low heat slowly stir in one cup of milk until smooth
- Add rest of milk
- Stir until smooth and mixture thickens almost to a boil
- This will take about 5 to 6 minutes
