Banana Drop Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 12 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 12 teaspoon ground ginger
- 12 teaspoon nutmeg
- 34 cup margarine softened
- 12 cups walnuts chopped
- 1 34 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 cup mashed very ripe bananas 2 -3
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Lightly grease to large baking sheets with butter or vegetable shortening
- Sift together flour sugar baking soda salt cinnamon ginger and nutmeg
- Using a pastry blender or two forks work the margarine into flour mixture until
- thoroughly mixed
- Mix the chopped walnuts with the oatmeal
- Stir into flour mixture
- Beat in egg and bananas
- Mix well
- Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of batter onto baking sheets about 2 inches apart
- Bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until the cookies have browned around the edges
- Remove from oven
- Cool cookies for 2 - 3 minutes and transfer to wire racks to cool completely
