Banana Drop Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 12 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 12 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 12 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 34 cup margarine softened
  • 12 cups walnuts chopped
  • 1 34 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup mashed very ripe bananas 2 -3

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Lightly grease to large baking sheets with butter or vegetable shortening
  3. Sift together flour sugar baking soda salt cinnamon ginger and nutmeg
  4. Using a pastry blender or two forks work the margarine into flour mixture until
  5. thoroughly mixed
  6. Mix the chopped walnuts with the oatmeal
  7. Stir into flour mixture
  8. Beat in egg and bananas
  9. Mix well
  10. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of batter onto baking sheets about 2 inches apart
  11. Bake for 12 - 15 minutes or until the cookies have browned around the edges
  12. Remove from oven
  13. Cool cookies for 2 - 3 minutes and transfer to wire racks to cool completely
