Barbecued Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 6 medium to large sweet potatoes or yams
  • 14 c melted butter
  • 12 tsp ground cloves

Directions

  1. Wash and scrub potatoes
  2. Cut slits in tops
  3. Place each potato in a piece of aluminum foil wrapping securely
  4. Cook 6-inches from heat tops down for 20 minutes
  5. Turn and pierce foil tops with a fork
  6. Cook for 20 to 25 minutes or longer until done
  7. Cut foil open
  8. Combine cloves and butter
  9. Frizzle over tops
  10. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving
  11. Serves 6
