Basic Cream Pie

Ingredients
- 2 c milk
- 12 c sugar
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 eggs separated
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Scald 1 12 cups milk
- in
- top of double boiler
- Combine sugar flour cornstarch and salt
- Stir
- in
- remaining
- 12
- cup milk and egg yolks
- Stir flour mixture into
- hot
- milk
- and
- cook until thickened Remove from heat
- Add butter and
- vanilla
- Let cool a little and pour into baked pie shell
- Cover with meringue
