Ingredients

  • 12 c olive oil
  • 5 to 7 cloves fresh garlic
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 stick butter
  • 6 anchovy fillets or 2 Tbsp anchovy paste

Directions

  1. Heat oil and butter in saucepan on low heat
  2. Mince garlic add to pan
  3. Cook until just softened
  4. Add anchovies cook until fish dissolves into a paste about 5 minutes
  5. Add pepper to taste
