Bavarian Banana Torte

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs separated room temperature
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c graham cracker crumbs
  • 12 tsp baking powder
  • 12 tsp pecans chopped
  • 12 c flaked coconut
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • lemon juice
  • 12 c whipped cream
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 18 oz can vanilla pudding or homemade

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease 2 round 8-inch cake pans
  3. Beat egg yolks with sugar until thick
  4. Add crumbs baking powder pecans coconut and vanilla
  5. In another bowl beat egg whites until stiff
  6. Fold into crumb mixture
  7. Pour into cake pans
  8. Bake 20 to 25 minutes
  9. Cool
  10. Spread 12 the pudding for one layer Slice 1 banana brush with lemon juice and arrange in pudding Put on top cake layer
  11. Repeat
  12. Refrigerate
