Beef And Rice Espagnole
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef or pork
- 12 c chopped onion
- 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 12 c quick cooking rice
- 12 c water
- 14 c sliced olives
- 1 4 oz can green chili peppers chopped
- 12 tsp garlic salt
- 18 tsp pepper
- few drops hot pepper sauce
- 1 c American cheese cut into 12 inch cubes
Directions
- In skillet cook meat and onions until meat is browned
- Drain off fat
- Stir in tomato sauce uncooked rice water olives chili peppers garlic salt pepper and hot pepper
- Bring to boil
- Turn into a 1 12-quart casserole dish
- Cover and bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or until rice is tender
- Add cheese cubes stirring just until cheese is distributed
- Let stand 5 minutes before serving
